(You may also pay your dues for SBA on this link as well, and start taking advantage of the perks immediately)

T-shirt talk:

There have been questions recently on the purchase of t-shirts so here is a little run-down on the procedures:

After choosing how many tickets you want on the eventbrite page and pressing the green “order now” button, you will be taken to a screen where you can fill out your billing information. At the bottom of this screen there is a place to order shirts under a section titled “Additional Items”. Here you can select your size and quantity for your shirt.

If you have already purchased your ticket and didn’t realize how much you loved the shirts, you may put a check in my box (Hayley Crosby) for $18.00. Please make your check out to “USC Law SBA”. Somewhere on the check, or on an additional paper, please put the size and quantity of the shirts that you are ordering.

Although the t-shirt proof on the eventbrite is almost exactly what is featured on the final proof, it varies slightly, so I have attached a picture of what the shirt will look in its final form

Some random FAQs:

Can I buy my band party with a check, pretty please, I don’t want to pay the convenience fee?

Unfortunately, no. However, fortunately, the fee is less than $3 dollars no matter which kind of ticket you purchase

Will there be soda/other non-alcoholic beverages?

We have requested that the food trucks bring some of these items such as soda, lemonade, waters, etc.

Can I buy a t-shirt even if I’m not going to the event?

Of course! Please place a check for $18.00 in my (Hayley Crosby) box

Why should I go?

Last years band party was a major success. Conquest has agreed to make way more of the Legally Blonde brew this year because it was such a hit last year. The food trucks are highly sought after in Columbia when choosing where to eat, and the band is going to be a blast. It’s also a great way to get to know people for those of you who haven’t had much time to socialize this year!

Can non-law students come?

We encourage you to bring your family, significant other, and a friend if you would like! Last year alumni and students parents came, and it is always fun watching parents dance to a cover band. Please purchase these participants a “Non-SBA” member ticket, even if you are in SBA yourself

If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to contact me, or anyone else on SBA.

My phone number is 904-537-0483 or shoot me an email at

On behalf of myself and everyone on exec, we are so excited to see all of you there!

Hayley Crosby

NCAA Postgraduate Internship deadline

Hi all!

Just a heads up that the NCAA Postgraduate Internship program application is much earlier this year.  Applications are due this Friday, September 25, 2015.

If you are interested in the program, please let me know and I will be happy to give you more details.

Megan Seiner

What is an Externship and How do I get one?

Externships are a great way for students to get real practical experience working side by side with a lawyer or judge.

I welcome individual meetings with students to talk about different opportunities with in-house counsel, judges, government attorneys, criminal law attorneys, and many more.

I’m also happy to meet with any student organization that would like to learn about how their members can participate.
