Good Deed Friday, Oct. 16th

The Pro Bono Program has set up a Good Deed Friday for this coming Friday, Oct 16th from 1-3 at Harvest Hope Food Bank.  The public has responded to the call for donations after the historic flood and now they need amazing teams of volunteers to sort, stack and pack food to distribute to those most in need.  Remember HHFB serves a 20 county area plus hundreds of local agencies and organizations such as soup kitchens.

The USC School of Law Pro Bono Program is an awesome team!  To join us on Friday just send a message to mailto:Robinspd@law.sc.edu or mailto:Phillip Martin

Last word! No open toed shoes or short shorts!

Ag Law! Not just for Clemson Grads

Attn; trial lawyers, the American Agricultural Law Association’s Annual Education Symposium will  be in Charleston on October 21-23. In the past students primarily from midwestern law schools, such as University of Arkansas, Ohio State University, Oklahoma State, Nebraska and Drake have participated but we can change that! AALS’s home base is in Columbia, SC and their Executive Director is a USC grad!

If you want to learn more about Agricultural Law or Food Law, they have a very diverse agenda.  The keynote speaker Bill Marler is a nationally recognized litigator of foodborne illness and advocate of food safety which may be of interest to future trial attorneys and policy makers.
