Marketing Yourself

Join Women in Law Thursday, January 22 at 12:40pm in Room 135 to learn how to market yourself effectively.  Lunch will be served. The following is more detailed information about the speaker, Brenda Stewart.  Brenda Stewart is the President of Stewart Marketing & Consulting.  Brenda brings more than thirty years of legal management experience to Stewart Marketing & Consulting. Her “inside knowledge” of law firm administration, management and marketing is combined with “outside perspective” to help a wide range of clients advance their strategic initiatives and goals. Having worked in such roles as Legal Administrator, Executive Director and most recently, Director of Marketing and Client Services for a southeast firm with 180 attorneys, she is intimately familiar with the challenges faced by law firms, management, director level employees, internal marketing departments and attorneys.

Brenda is a regular speaker for the South Carolina Bar, has presented for numerous associations across the Southeast. Brenda is the creator, moderator and key speaker for the SC Bar Rainmaking Boot Camp for Attorneys which has been presented the past three years. Brenda is also a faculty member for the South Carolina Bar Legal Ethics and Practice Program (LEAPP), a program designed by the South Carolina Bar to educate attorneys on efficient and ethical systems and procedures for office management.

She also serves as a non-lawyer member of the South Carolina Commission on Lawyer Conduct, a position that is appointed by the Supreme Court of South Carolina.  Other community/business volunteer work includes member of the Advisory Board for Presbyterian College School of Pharmacy Center for Entrepreneur Development, Board member of Justice Initiatives in Charlotte, NC, and member of Legal Marketing Association.
