2015 J. Woodrow Lewis Moot Court Competition Mandatory Interest Meetings

The J. Woodrow Lewis Competition is an annual appellate advocacy competition held in memory of The Hon. J. Woodrow Lewis, Chief Justice, Supreme Court of South Carolina.  Teams of two must draft a brief and participate in two rounds of oral argument.  The two final teams will argue before the S.C. Supreme Court, which will select the winning team and the best oralist.  Additionally, the winning team will receive $1,000, the runner-up team will receive $500 and the best oralist in the final round will receive $250.  The team that submits the “best brief” will receive $750.

All 2L and 3L students are eligible to compete.  You do not have to be a member of the Moot Court Bar.  You must attend ONE of the mandatory interest meetings that will take place on the following dates:

Tuesday,  January 13 at 12:40pm, Rm. 338 (lunch will be provided)

Wednesday, January 14 at 3:30pm, Rm. 338

Thursday, January 15 at 12:40pm, Rm. 338 (lunch will be provided)
